“ i went to homemade today for lunch and what can i say but it was brilliant. The food was fresh, it looked great and tasted even better, i ate a colcannon potato cake with cheese, topped with a poached egg on a bed of green salad with a lemon herb dressing. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted gorgeous too. My friend had a byron chicken sandwich that was huge!! it had sweet chilli jam, mayo and salad inside and she said it was the best sandwich she had ever eaten. I can not wait to tell all of my friends about this place and we will most certainly be back for breakfast at the weekend or burgers on a wednesday evening - can't wait. Joan ”
“ As a veggie, of more years than I care to think about, I am delighted that 'Homemade' has 'come to town'.It's brilliant to actually have a choice of food and I can find it hard to decide on all the yummy things available. I discovered the eatery only a week or so after they opened and have been going there regularly since. Alone or meeting friends, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and it's easy to chat with strangers, a most un-English thing to do!! The expanded cafe looks great and the Deli a welcome addition. I also missed my meals out in August, but feel the comments by 'luisaluna' unfair. The 'girls' work very hard and certainly don't do it for a hobby. They do a lot of outside catering and need a hol once a year. I have seen quite a few shops and cafes closed for most of August. Maybe they need to find a way to let people know when they're going to be closed in future, but the info was on their web site. Long may they flourish!!! Padders. Sheffield ”
“ Lovely intimate cafe/restaurant. Good atmosphere. Divine vege and vegan food. Worth the trip out of town, but probably need to book, as it's tiny. Should that be small but perfectly formed?! ”
“ Nether Edge has lost the Green Edge cafe, but this seems to have been replaced with another lovely little vegetarian cafe. Went there for lunch today. Delicious home cooked food, friendly staff and good prices. I had yummy mushroom soup and then crumpets and coffee. Perfect for warming yourself up on a autumnal day. The crowd is quite bohemian, in a very good way, and its small enough to maintain a great intimacy. Definitely recommended for lunch, and I think its worth checking out for dinner too? ”
